Joe Crowther

The Foot Whisperer Podiatry is a locally owned and operated business by Podiatrist Joe Crowther. Joe was raised in the area, growing up and going to school in Nabiac and Taree.


After a stint as a pilot, Joe’s passion for helping people led him to complete a 4 year University degree (Bachelor of Health Science - Podiatry) at Charles Sturt University, Albury. 


Joe worked as a Podiatrist in both NSW and QLD before returning to Forster-Tuncurry to serve his local community and start his own business, The Foot Whisperer. 

Samantha Shepherd

Samantha completed her Bachelor of Podiatry at the University of Newcastle and joined The Foot Whisperer team in 2013.


Samantha previously worked at a Podiatry clinic on the Central Coast before being drawn to the idyllic lifestyle of The Great Lakes where she enjoys playing golf and water sports


Samantha has completed additional training in lower limb dry needling and foot mobilisation and is passionate about ingrown nail care and surgery, after experiencing ingrown nails throughout her childhood.


Samantha loves working collaboratively to improve the foot health and quality of life of her clients.


William Ryder

Bill grew up in Wagga Wagga before completing his Bachelor of Podiatric Medicine (Honours) in Albury-Wodonga at Charles Sturt University in 2018.  During his studies he spent time at the Canberra and Campbelltown Hospitals and a number of other clinics in Brisbane and the Riverina.

Bill enjoys all aspects of podiatry but is particularly interested in the biomechanics of the foot and diabetic foot care.  He enjoys the satisfaction of providing a service to the community as well as allowing his patient's to live an active lifestyle free of pain.

Leisa Smith

Leisa is a valued member of The Foot Whisperer reception team and has been with us since February 2015. She has brought with her a wealth of knowledge from years of experience in the banking and health services industries. 


Leisa has a love of the outdoors and physical fitness and has always had a natural interest in health and wellbeing. As a keen dance enthusiast and teacher, years of Classical Ballet have made her feet a priority and drew Leisa to join us in our busy practice.

Daniela Edenhofner


Daniela is a wonderful addition to The Foot Whisperer reception team and has been with us since May 2017. Daniela relocated from Sydney, where she had experience in the health service industry by working as a PA/Secretary to two Orthopaedic Surgeons, specialising in hips, knees and ankles.

Daniela has an interest in natural therapies and enjoys time in the garden,  growing herbs and vegetables.
